Serving quick and easy meals for my family is my go-to for dinner. With two young kids and a home-based business, it’s easy for my day-to-day schedule to become somewhat hectic. Even so, I try to cook at home as much as I can, which is why I love simple meals that can easily be cooked and served within 30-60 minutes—like this spicy orange chicken recipe.
Sometimes we tend to fall into a rut and repeat the same dinner menu items from week to week, so it’s nice when I come across new recipes or new ingredients I can use to create an easy weeknight meal for my family. Read on for the full recipe!

Our Asian-inspired spicy orange chicken turned out great, though I would have liked the color to be more, well, orange! (Ha!) It might be that I needed to use more orange sauce, but I was being mindful of the sodium in the recipe.
My family ate it up, though, so I know it tasted just fine! We ate our spicy orange chicken with a side of white rice, but next time I cook this simple meal, I’m going to try to make it into lo mein using linguine noodles.
