I’m a big fan of chocolate and though it’s shameful to admit, I can easily eat a king-size chocolate candy bar all by myself. I know, it’s terribly unhealthy; so, I stay away from doing so and deprive myself from eating candy every day. I tend to go all or nothing and can rarely find a middle ground. This is why I was so intrigued to learn about Balance Bar products and try out their latest flavors. The prospect of having a mix of nutritional value with chocolate and other candy-like flavors in a convenient, easy-to-take bar was definitely something I felt would help me satisfy those mid-afternoon hunger cravings. Crave Freely with Balance: Chocolate Goodness in a Guilt-Free Bar
Balance Bar provides a combination of carbohydrates, protein, and dietary fat, all wrapped up in yummy flavors. We received complimentary sample boxes of the newest flavors added to their product line – Chocolate Caramel Peanut Nougat, Dulce de Leche & Caramel, Dark Chocolate Pecan Turtle, and Chocolate Peppermint Patty – and believe me, they taste delicious! My personal favorite was the peanut nougat (it honestly tasted just like a candy bar) and my daughter was all about the dulce de leche. With flavors like that, it’s easy to indulge in the sweet cravings we normally want in the afternoon, knowing we’re also feeding our bodies nutritious elements. (Each Balance Bar is packed with 5-7 grams of protein and 5-6 grams of fiber, depending on the flavor.) I also liked that there are 2 mini-bars in each package, so it’s easy to share with your child or significant other – if you’re able to let go!
As a busy mom of two and one that runs a home-based business, it’s easy for me to forget to eat (another unhealthy habit of mine). However, I try my hardest to grab a snack on my way out the door when I pick up the kids from school or if we’re running errands. Knowing that Balance will provide me with energizing protein, filling fiber, and a great taste, I’m excited to add this new product to my array of options for on-the-go snacks.
