Self-Care for Mom: 3 Simple Ways to Boost Your Energy Level During the Day {Giveaway}

I’m sure many of you can relate with the feeling of exhaustion that creeps up on you around 3-4 pm every afternoon. It’s not just me, right? It’s rather inconvenient, actually, since that’s prime parenting time in our house (and in many households). Those are the hours after the kids have come home from school, when they need the most attention, requiring hugs, kisses, snacks, help with homework, and just time to chat with you. Alternatively, if you work outside the home, that block of time is also the time you need to stay focused for late-afternoon meetings or when you want to get the final day’s work done to avoid adding to the next day’s to-do list. (I speak from experience!)

3 tips to help with your energy level

That’s why sometimes your body can use a bit of a pick-me-up. While many people rely on a cup of coffee, it’s never been something I’ve enjoyed. However, there’s been many days where I’ve wished for caffeine or a little extra boost of energy so I could just get through the remaining hours of the day without falling out on the couch! Sound familiar? Check out these simple tips to help with your energy level and be sure to see the fun giveaway at the bottom!

Self-Care for Mom: 3 Simple Ways to Boost Your Energy Level During the Day

  1. Stay hydrated! Drinking plenty of water throughout the day seems to help me avoid feeling sleepy in the afternoon.
  2. Get your body moving. Whenever I start to feel a little sluggish, I get up and moving. It can be as simple as walking around the house or office!
  3. Try energy-producing food. Certain foods can help increase your energy level, such as nuts. If you want something with caffeine, but like me, aren’t a fan of coffee, you might like Mamma Chia Clean Energy organic beverages, a new product I came across! Let me share more with you.

Mamma Chia Clean Energy Organic Beverages

Natural Caffeine from Mamma Chia Clean Energy Organic Beverages

When I first heard about Mamma Chia Clean Energy organic beverages, I was very much intrigued as they provide your body with natural caffeine, derived from guayusa (pronounced gwhy-you’-sa). According to Mamma Chia, guayusa is found in the Amazon Rainforest of Ecuador and provides natural caffeine, antioxidants, and vitamins, helping you feel more energized without the typical jitters or crashes one can feel from other sources of caffeine. Combined with chia seeds and organic fruit juices, one bottle of Mamma Chia Clean Energy will provide you with: 90 mg of natural caffeine (about as much as an 8 oz. cup of coffee), 6 grams of fiber, 2500 mg of Omega-3s, and 4 grams of protein. Plus, they are non-GMO verified, gluten-free, Kosher, and USDA Certified Organic.

Mamma Chia Clean Energy Organic Beverages

Mamma Chia Clean Energy organic beverages come in four flavors: Blackberry Blast, Cherry Charge, Raspberry Razz, and Grape Power. You can find the drinks at your local Walmart in the refrigerated section of the produce department. Currently, you may also find an instant $.55 coupon around Mamma Chia bottles, so go ahead and give them a try! As a side note, Janie Hoffman, the founder of Mamma Chia, felt compelled to begin the brand after personally feeling the effects of chia and attributing much of her recovery from nearly 20 years of immune disorders to the chia seed. Now, Mamma Chia donates 1% of sales to support farmers, community groups, and organizations that build healthy, local food systems.
