Upscale Dining at Hyatt Regency’s LakeHouse

February 13, 2016 By Ricardo Escobar 1 Comment

Over the years we’ve covered a number of fine dining opportunities in the central Florida area. So much so that Orlando is quickly becoming well known for its culinary experiences. Make room for another on your list as Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress has recently opened LakeHouse, a beautiful upscale restaurant in Orlando.

LakeHouse

The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, conveniently located less than 5 miles from Disney Springs, offers guests a luxurious stay while they look to enjoy all that Orlando has to offer. However, even if you’re not staying as a guest, you can enjoy LakeHouse, a restaurant that owes its name to the scenic views of a tranquil lake. You can enjoy an assortment of cocktails from a full-service bar including a white sangria. Small plates appropriately named FNB Bites can help to open up your appetite. The selection is wide and varied with items like almond filled dates with bacon and maldon sea salt pretzel bites.

If fish is more your thing then indulge in grilled shrimp cocktail in bloody mary cocktail sauce with shaved horseradish and sliced cucumbers. You will also want to consider the line of makimono rolled sushi that includes the tried and true California roll as well as the restaurant’s namesake, Lakehouse which features spicy tuna. Rounding out the seafood highlights is the delicious sea bass with sublime lemon grass orzo.

Also worth consideration are pizzas and flatbreads from the hearth oven as described in the menu. Of course you will find cheese and pepperoni but we recommend trying out the turkey & brie flatbread with artichoke pesto, roma tomatoes, and baby arugula. Yum! Don’t fret if your preference is meat as there’s plenty of options for all you carnivores out there. In fact the filet mignon atop herb bread pudding represented the highlight among the various entree selections.

FiletMignon

This brings us to the only possible thing remaining: dessert! The must-have option here, and this can’t be overly emphasized, is the hot roasted apple tart. Not mentioned in the name of this dish is the true star, the house churned vanilla bourbon ice cream. It is an amazing way to conclude an already delicious dining experience at LakeHouse.

The next time you’re near the attractions area, make a point to treat yourself to all that is available at LakeHouse, now open at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.
