This summer I attended a really fun event with Walmart, where they invited consumers to check out the latest items for the upcoming holiday season! As a Walmart Mom blogger, I along with a few fellow Walmart Moms, got to experience the Chosen by You event just like consumers, placing my vote for my own favorite items and talking with vendors about their products. It was definitely great to get a sneak peek at the hottest gifts for this holiday season! While not all of the items featured at the event made the final list, some of my personal favorites did! Let me share with you more about Walmart’s Chosen by You event and of course, give you details on some of this year’s top holiday gifts!
Chosen by You: Walmart’s Top Holiday Gifts List, as Chosen by Customers
Taking place in Dallas, TX, the Chosen by You event gathered consumers (and their kids) to learn about, play with, and explore top items for the upcoming holiday season. Vendors were on-hand and available to answer questions from consumers, as they showcased their various products to help consumers learn more. There were all types of products available for consumers to preview, from toys and electronics, to home and apparel.
Once consumers had a chance to see products in each category, they voted on their favorites and provided feedback on what they did and did not like! Using this feedback, Walmart then created the Chosen by You top holiday gifts list! This year’s top holiday gifts are broken down by category, such as the Chosen by Kids top toys list!
2015 Top Holiday Gifts – My Favorites!
There were so many fun items to look at, that it was tough to choose just a few favorites! However, I have to say that there were a few stand-out holiday gifts, with toys being a major category for me (of course)! Though not all of my favorites made the official Chosen by You lists, here are a few items I think you should keep an eye out for this holiday season!
- Project MC2 Ultimate Lab Kit – Kids will love playing with science and experimenting with this fun lab kit that is designed after the Netflix show!
- VTech Go! Go! Smart Wheels Ultimate RC Speedway – My kids have outgrown such a toy, but this is an adorable car racing set for toddlers and preschoolers!
- LEGO Dimensions Video Game System – I’m betting we’ll probably purchase this for our kids because it combines the awesomeness of LEGO building with gaming, allowing kids to create their own video game worlds and have fun with characters they love!
- 808 CANZ Bluetooth Wireless Speaker – For less than $30, this is a great portable speaker option! I was impressed with the quality of the sound and loved how small and easy it is to use!
- Star Wars – It’s hard to pinpoint just one or two Star Wars items, since there’s so many to choose from this holiday season! With the release of Star Wars: Force Awakens coming in December, there are plenty of Star Wars gifts you can purchase for Star Wars fans! You’ll find everything from clothes and makeup to toys and home items, but be sure to check out the Legendary Jedi Master Yoda and the Air Hogs Remote Control Ultimate Millennium Falcon Quad!
Without a doubt, you’ll have plenty of gift options to choose from this holiday season! The Chosen by You list of top holiday gifts is a great place to start, plus it’s great to know that the items were chosen and tested by consumers just like us!
