Conducting a huge focus group with hundreds of children, Walmart let kids play with popular new toys from brands like Hasbro and Mattel. Using the kids’ feedback and picks, the Chosen by Kids Top 20 Toys list was created and includes top toy trends for the 2014 holiday season. The Chosen by Kids toys list shows that creative toys are a hot item this year, since children gave preference to toys that allowed for creativity and imagination. The top 3 toys for creativity in 2014 are: Sew Cool Sewing Machine, Moose Toys Beados Quick Dry Design Station, and the Make Your Case Cell Phone Case Maker. Which one would your creative child like?

I was pretty excited to check out the Sew Cool Sewing Machine since my almost-nine-year-old girl has been showing an interest in learning how to sew recently. She has been playing around with a child-safe needle, making small doll clothes, and even sewed together her own doll! The Sew Cool Sewing Machine will be a great holiday gift for her, taking her sewing adventures to another level!
Since the Sew Cool Sewing Machine is thread-less, I feel good about letting my daughter use it for sewing small projects and having a fun first sewing machine experience. The Sew Cool Machine comes with 3 pre-cut shapes ready for sewing, plus 6 more project patterns; the 9 sewing projects include small purses, pencil cases, a heart pillow, and more! I know my daughter will love sewing on a sewing machine for the first time and the instructions included with the Sew Cool Machine are perfect for helping her get started. The bright color of the machine, fun pattern designs that are included, and the thread-less feature are all great, making for an engaged sewing experience!
