How would you like to create your own potato chip flavor? With the LAY’S® DO US A FLAVOR® contest, you can do just that! As a Walmart Mom, I had the chance to visit the Frito-Lay® Flavor Kitchen and learn more about the inspiration behind LAY’S® potato chip flavors. It was great to see how the chefs’ passion for food transfers into unique potato chip flavors.
I’ve always been a fan of the classic LAY’S potato chips, but do appreciate a variety of the many flavors now available. A few of the newest flavors have been submitted by consumers just like us, with LAY’S Kettle Cooked Wasabi Ginger being the grand prize winner last year. This year, for the 3rd time, the LAY’S DO US A FLAVOR contest is once again seeking potato chip flavor ideas, but with a little twist. LAY’S DO US A FLAVOR Contest Details
Right now through March 30, 2015 you can submit your own LAY’S potato chip flavor idea for the chance at the grand prize: either $1 million or 1% of your flavor’s net sales, whichever is greater, for the period of July 15, 2015 through July 15, 2016! The twist this year is that LAY’S also wants to know which region of the U.S. inspired your flavor idea! Later this year, four finalists representing different cities/towns of the U.S. will be brought to store shelves to be voted on.
