Adding Olives to Your Diet: 7 Ideas for Eating and Cooking with Olives

I am a fan of olives and can easily eat them on their own – and often do! The rest of my household, however, are not fans of olives at all. My husband in fact, picks them out of his rice and other foods I cook with olives. This works just fine for me, as I am happy to eat the olives he doesn’t want.

7 Ideas for Cooking with Olives

When I was offered to try Pearls Olives To Go!, I welcomed the chance to try these individual, liquid-free cups. Offered in four varieties – Kalamata, Black Pitted, Pimiento Stuffed Green, and Sliced Black – Pearls Olives To Go! make for easy cooking and are a great snack! Introduced in 2013 by Musco Family Olive Co., Pearls Olives To Go! provide a gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, cholesterol-free, GMO-free, vegan, and Kosher option for snacking. Check out some ideas below for different ways to eat and cook with olives

7 Ideas for Eating and Cooking with Olives

  1. Add to rice: I always add green olives to my yellow rice and it adds a great flavor. Try adding a cup of Pearls Olives To Go! Pimiento Stuffed Spanish Green Olives to your pot of rice!
  2. Use as toppings on flatbreads and pizzas: Olives make for great toppings! I love sliced black olives on pizza, but you could also try Kalamata olives with Feta cheese and chicken on flatbread for a great combination.
  3. Add to soups and stews: Similar to rice, olives add a great flavor to soups and stews. You could try Pimiento Stuffed Green Olives or another variety for a fun twist on your soups.
  4. Add to salads: Adding olives to your salads can be a great way to add layers. Pearls Olives To Go! Kalamata Pitted Greek Olives or Pearls Olives To Go! Sliced California Black Ripe Olives both work great in salads!
  5. Grab as a snack: With Pearls Olives To Go! cups, you can easily grab some olives as a mid-day snack or take them with you when on the road. Since they come in individual cups, they’re easy to pop open and snack on! Plus, if your kids like olives too, they make a great addition to their school lunch!
  6. Add to sandwiches and wraps: Adding olives to your sandwiches or wraps is another great way to add olives to your diet. Try Pearls Olives To Go! Black Ripe Pitted or Sliced varieties to help your sandwiches stand out!
  7. Mix into your eggs: You could add olives to your scrambled eggs or omelet for a great way to add variety to your breakfast!

7 Ideas for Cooking with Pearls Olives To Go!

I’ve been enjoying snacking on and cooking with Pearls Olives To Go! It’s great that they’re just the right portion to add to my yellow rice, soups, or salads. Plus, they’re a great, filling snack!
