SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration Delivers Snow and Holiday Ambiance Even in Florida

December 10, 2013 By Vanessa Morales Leave a Comment

My family and I attended a fun family night at SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration, which was definitely worth a trip to the park. We liked it so much that we are now trying to figure out when we can squeeze in another trip to see the rest of the shows as we only saw a few of them. My little munchkin loved it so much that he was truly sad when we explained he couldn’t jump into the ice skating rink with all the performers during the last show. For only being two years old, he did really well and seemed to be thoroughly entertained the entire night. I think we may have stumbled upon a new annual family tradition.

As you stroll through the entire park, there are lights and music everywhere. The Christmas Market area offers some tasty treats and unique holiday gifts. There are also plenty of character photo-ops for little ones and adults to enjoy. Have you ever taken a picture inside a snow globe? Well you can also do that here! Even on a fairly warm December night in Florida, the décor creates such a wonderful ambiance that you just have to add a mug full of hot chocolate to the festivities.

From start to finish, everything was spectacular, including but not limited to, the choreography of lights and music for Sea of Trees, Winter Wonderland on Ice, and the fireworks. Each show has its own special way of embracing the spirit of Christmas for which SeaWorld is not hesitant on demonstrating. Moreover, as you walk out after the must-see fireworks at the end of the night you even get to encounter a little bit of snow. What better way to “see” snow than to be in a t-shirt and shorts and not have to worry about shoveling it?

Aside from the special Christmas-themed shows, some of the other holiday entertainment includes a live four-piece band with multiple performances throughout the evening, a very comical slapstick comedy act, and a fabulous a cappella group. This event is only happening on certain days for the rest of the month of December. So, if you’re looking for a great way to extend some holiday celebrating, take the family to check out SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration, which is included with the price of admission to the park.

What do you love most about Christmas?
