Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular: A Must-Do at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

September 28, 2016 By Melanie Edwards Leave a Comment

There’s plenty of Halloween fun at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party – from being able to enjoy trick-or-treating at the most magical place on Earth to the beautiful decorations that only Disney can provide – your family is sure to have a blast celebrating Halloween at the Magic Kingdom! It seems like almost every time we partake in the Halloween festivities at the Walt Disney World Resort, we find something new to enjoy and this year was no exception. Our treat for the year was the villainous entertainment brought to us by the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular stage show! While it’s full of your favorite Disney Villains, it’s all in good fun and your kids will enjoy seeing the tricksters singing and dancing! Check out a couple of videos from the live show below and learn more about how to see it yourself during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

This was my kids’ first time seeing The Sanderson Sisters as they had not yet seen the Hocus Pocus movie, but even though they weren’t familiar with them, they loved the characters in the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular! They enjoyed the songs and very much liked seeing so many Disney villains at one time! The show has just the right amount of spook to keep them entertained without being scary (in my opinion), but if you have very young kids, there are quite a few moments in darkness and loud noises, so keep that in mind. You’ll also want to try to grab a spot near the stage early, since it’s a popular show and many adults enjoy the show for themselves (which may make it hard for kids to see).

One of the highlights of the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular show is the famous “I Put a Spell on You” song from the Hocus Pocus film. It’s been tweaked a bit to incorporate other Disney villains, which honestly, made it more fun! See video above for a bit of the performance.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party requires separate admission as it is a special-ticketed event. You can see event dates and purchase tickets on the Walt Disney World site.
