This Valentine’s Day, Give Her the Gift of Me-Time

I can’t remember the last time I had a nice, long bath all to myself. Most days, I take a quick 15-minute shower, wondering when in the week I’ll be able to wash my hair or shave my legs – all things that require more time. The fact that there’s always “something else to do” (i.e., review homework, clean the kitchen, get the kids in bed, etc.) makes it so that taking a longer shower and giving myself a little me-time just doesn’t rate high on my list of daily priorities. But, as I enter my mid-30s, I realize that I do need to occasionally put myself first and make room in my schedule for me-time.

This Valentine’s Day, there’s probably no greater gift you can give a busy mom than me-time. Whether she’s your spouse, mother, sister, or a dear friend, give her the gift of time, however you can. To accompany the block of me-time you’ll be gifting her, add a few bath and body products, so she can take the time to relax. I recently had the chance to check out a few products from the Calgon bath and body line, available for purchase at Walmart. I received a few Calgon bath and body products to try at home, including:

• Calgon Parisian Charm Fragrance Body Mist, $4.97
• Calgon Parisian Charm Body Cream, $4.97

The Parisian Charm collection has a sweet, floral scent. Though it’s a little stronger than I prefer, it does provide a nice fragrance. It was refreshing to take a shower using the body wash, then nourish my skin with the body cream. Now, I’m looking forward to a long, relaxing bath in the future using the Morning Glory bubble bath, which has a crisp, linen-like scent.
