Happy New Year! (A few days late) 😉
I’ve been away for a few days from this blog and took some time to hang out with my family. My brother and nephew were in town from Milwaukee, as well, so it was good to spend some time with them. My nephew has gone back home and though my brother is still in town, it’s time to get back to work and a normal routine. It was definitely good to take a little break and have time to think, though.
Of course, just like when I used to work outside the home, I have tons to catch up on. But, such is life, right? And life always throws you a few curve balls to mix things up a bit. In just 4 days of 2010 so far, we’ve:
- had a scare that our A/C stopped working (thankfully, it was just the thermostat and not the unit itself),
- been denied health insurance coverage for myself and baby girl,
- and found out that baby girl has a loose tooth (her first!)
Some very small occurrences and all either fixable or very minor, but it just goes to show you that there’s rarely a dull moment in life. Hopefully the rest of this week will start to fall into place. Now, I just need to prepare for Los Tres Reyes Magos (Three King’s Day) on Wednesday and I’ll be able to take down our Christmas decorations.
