Even though we get together with family for most Thanksgiving dinners, we don’t tend to dress up. Don’t get me wrong – it’s not like we sit down for Thanksgiving dinner in our sweat pants, but we also aren’t dressed in our holiday best. We all tend to go for more of a dressy casual look, with jeans and nicer tops being popular. This year is no exception. I found a couple of cute tops at Walmart for both my girl and baby boy that I think will look great at the Thanksgiving table, yet will allow them to be comfortable and enjoy their day without much fuss. Thanksgiving Style for Kids: Casual & Cute
In trying to keep with the spirit of fall, I had plaid patterns and the colors orange and brown in mind. I thought it would be cute for both of my kids to wear orange for Thanksgiving and coordinate with each other. Though I was able to find a nice orange sweater for my baby boy, I found that orange is not an easily-found color for girls – at least not this time around.
I love this look that I was able to put together for my baby boy! We paired an adorable Faded Glory Long Sleeve Thermal Tee ($7.88 and looks just like those in the men’s department) with a pair of khakis he had in his closet. My little man looks super cute, but is also comfortable for spending Thanksgiving day playing and hanging out with his family.
Since I was unable to find something in orange for my girl, I opted for a button-down plaid top in a fun purple! This Faded Glory Flannel Top ($7.94) has a bit of shine and sparkle to it, which is perfect for my tween! Paired with black leggings, she’ll be stylish and super comfortable for Thanksgiving dinner!
