Every year we take advantage of the beginning of the school year to update our kids’ wardrobe by clearing out clothes that no longer fit or are in less-than-desirable condition and purchasing some new clothes. We keep what still works and add new pieces to be sure they have clothes to get them through (hopefully) the rest of the school year. I say hopefully because as parents we all know that kids tend to grow at inconceivable rates and we’re often buying more clothes mid-year to compensate for what they’ve outgrown (again). This is why it just makes sense to purchase affordable apparel that the kids love, are comfortable in for school days, and that doesn’t break my budget when I inevitably repurchase pieces to replace them. Back to School Clothes for Kids: Fun, Affordable Finds at Walmart!
As I showed you in the video, my kids love graphic tees, so I definitely picked up a few of those, especially for my baby boy. At prices like $4.88 and $6.97, I was more than happy to grab a variety of character tees for him. He loved the Minecraft and video game inspired shirts, and was really hoping for a Pokémon shirt, but unfortunately we weren’t able to find it in his size. I also made sure to bring home a couple of Polo shirts for him, which not only look super cute on him, but are great for adding variety to his closet. Again, with prices under $5 each, it’s not hard to pick out a few colors for him to coordinate with various shoes! My boy likes to look fresh too!
I made sure to pick up the Powerpuff Girls shirt for my daughter from the juniors section (only $5!), since she has loved the show ever since we introduced it to her when she was little. There were so many great juniors’ graphic tees that I had a hard time choosing for her, so we’ll probably head back together so she can pick out her own styles. She loves going through each rack seeing the variety of characters and phrases as she finds the tees that fit her personality!
Back to school clothes shopping can be fun when it’s made simple and easy for you with affordable prices and a great selection. The kids love the on-trend variety and I love the convenience factor. It’s a win-win!
