#InGulf Yourself in Family Fun at Gulf County, Florida

March 9, 2018 By Melanie Edwards Leave a Comment

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Gulf County Florida. All opinions are 100% mine.

Our family has lived in Florida for many years and yet, we have not explored the northwestern part of the state, often referred to as the panhandle. We’ve heard there are some extremely beautiful beaches in the Gulf County Florida area too! This isn’t hard to believe, seeing as the Gulf of Mexico boasts some truly spectacular waters locally in Tampa Bay and the surrounding region. I’m thinking it’s time to plan a family road trip and head up to Gulf County! You, however, should enter the #InGulf Instagram contest hosted by Gulf County Tourist Development for a chance to visit Gulf County sooner rather than later. Let me tell you all about it, as well as some of the family fun you can have when you visit!

Gulf County Florida Family Fun

There’s lots of family fun and adventures to be had in Gulf County too. From exploring the various beaches to camping and even hunting, your family is sure to find the right experiences to make your Gulf County vacation perfect-for-you. After looking over the adventure guide on the Gulf County Tourism site, here are some of the family fun activities our family of four would enjoy:

  • Shelling – We love to collect seashells and apparently, shells can be found aplenty in St. Joseph Bay! Plus, with the printable shell guide provided by Gulf County, this could easily become an educational adventure.
  • Kayaking – Something we’ve always wanted to try, a kayaking adventure on the bay seems perfect for exploring the wonderful nature Gulf County has to offer.
  • Saltwater Fishing – We’re already familiar with saltwater fishing, so a relaxing day on the water or by the shoreline to see what bites is something we would enjoy.
  • Sea Turtle Patrol – As the largest nesting place for sea turtles in Northwest Florida, it would be a true treat to see sea turtles in their natural environment while visiting Gulf County! Luckily Turtle Patrol volunteers can help us do that with a dawn walk on the beach.
  • Beaches – As Caribbean islanders, my husband and I both love the beach, so it’s no surprise that a day at the beach is definitely on our list of Gulf County family fun adventures. Who can say no to the Gulf of Mexico view, sunsets on the beach, clear water, and pristine sand?

If you’re not sure what Gulf County adventure or family fun is best suited for you and your loved ones, then take advantage of the Concierge Program provided by Gulf County, Florida! It’s a free service where you share what interests you and they connect you with a local guide to help you find what adventures match your interests! How great is that?
