Loving the Words “I’m hungry”

in Baby Girl, toddlers

Yesterday I stayed home with baby girl and had a day off from work. She had recently been sick and is still really recovering.

But, we had a pretty good day and accomplished a milestone.

Up until now, baby girl (who’s a picky eater) wouldn’t really tell me when she’s hungry, thirsty, etc. You would know it from looking at her (and the clock), but she would never tell you.

Well yesterday, all I heard was “I’m hungry.”

Probably because she was starting to feel better and making up for the weekend of very little eating.

The really good thing about it was, she also told me WHAT she wanted to eat. And then actually ate it!

Every meal she had yesterday was in response to her saying she was hungry and was picked by her – in some cases she even “cooked” it.

It’s a small feat, but a feat nonetheless.

This mami is proud. 🙂

That’s great! I hope she keeps it going!
