Wow! I can SO relate! Had done everything by the book when I was pregnant with my first, and was dead set on having a natural birth. Studied the Bradley method backwards and forwards.
But I got silent labor at 32 weeks, was in and out of the hospital, and she ended up being breech, too. They finally did a c-section at 36 weeks because my amnio fluid was disappearing and they were worried she’d strangle on the cord.
But she is beautiful and mine, and my heart is walking around outside my body.
And today she won 1st place in her first Science Fair!

I feel your pain. I was “robbed” too. After 22 hours of labor, baby’s heart rate was going down so I was prepped me for an emergency c-section. When I woke up, I wasn’t pregnant and I felt awful! They brought the baby on and I felt like he wasn’t mine – til I left the hospital. So it was a bittersweet moment.

Boy, did I feel the pain as well and it wasn’t pretty!!!! One day I will have to share the story with you. I can totally relate, in many ways. The pain, the numbness, the anger and happiness of it all. Complications are never fun, but like you now I have a healthy, beautiful loving 3 year old boy and a sweet, stubborn, happy 16 month old girl. Both delivered by c-section. Both times I wanted a natural birth.
